Red Garnet or Red Amaranth Organic Microgreens Seeds

Amaranth microgreens are also known as red garnet or in Asia, Chinese Spinach. They produce a striking red colour at seed leaf stage which go very well with other microgreens, giving the mix a beautiful contrast. Use it as a garnish to enhance your dishes!

GROWING MEDIUM : Potting Mix

FLAVOUR : Red garnet amaranth is lightweight and not known for its flavour, but its intense colour gives any salad mix a beautiful, vibrant look. 

DETAILS: Antioxidant agent, improves bone quantity (calcium), improves digestion (fibre), gluten free, lowers cholesterol levels, improves vision (Vit A), haircare - prevents hair loss (lysine)

SOWING METHOD: Fill potting mix (coco peat + perlite) in a container and spread seeds on the mix surface. Spread seeds evenly and be careful not to overcrowd the tray. Spray water on the seeds to make the mix moist and prevent seeds from dislodging. Cover the seeds for 2-3 days or when seeds start to germinate.  Expose the plant to light after germination occurs and water. Do not overwater as Amaranthus seeds are sensitive to overwatering. 

GERMINATION PERIOD: 2-3 days after sowing

HARVEST TIME & METHOD: 7-10 days after germination. Use a pair of scissors to harvest just above the potting medium. 

Storage

If storing for later use, we recommend refrigerating your seeds in an air tight container.
