Cilantro Or Coriander Organic Microgreens Seeds

Regular price $8.70 Sale

A beautiful tasting and smelling herb. When grown as microgreens, both the taste and smell are personified. We have found that these seeds grow better in cooler temperatures. So either wait till the end of the year during the rainy season or grow in an air-conditioned environment.

Our seeds are certified organic, GMO-free, and non-treated. Grow them either as microgreens or sprouts. To grow them into their full greens, read our blog here. To grow them as microgreens, watch our video below.

SPECIFICATIONS

SEED PRE SOAK : Yes if plant as whole seeds

GROWING MEDIUM : Potting Mix

FLAVOUR : Cilantro is often a hit or miss herb - some people hate it while others savour the taste. Cilantro's flavour is more aromatic at seed leaf stage.

DETAILS: Similar in flavour to the matured variety. This microgreen requires patience in growing. Takes between 3-4 weeks to grow.

MICROGREEN SOWING METHOD: Soak seeds overnight or longer to soften the hard hull and lower germination days. An alternative to soaking is to use a rolling pin to roll over the seeds to crack open the hull.

Fill potting mix (coco peat + perlite) in a container and flatten mix so it is even. Spread seeds generously across the tray and spray water to make the mix moist and prevent seeds from dislodging. Cover the seeds will a thin layer of potting mix to ensure darkness and further soften the hard hulls. Place the tray in darkness for 4-5 days or when seeds start to germinate. Expose the plant to light after germination occurs and water regularly, keeping the mix moist.

GERMINATION PERIOD: 4-5 days after sowing

HARVEST TIME & METHOD: Cilantro's signature true leaves don't fully develop until almost the third week. To harvest, use a pair of scissors and cut just above the potting medium. Allow to grow for 15-20 days after germination.
